Our impact is measured in the success stories of the women we support, the families we uplift, and the communities we strengthen.
Our learner’s journey begins at our Training Centre in Atherton, Greater Manchester. Here, they take part in a comprehensive training programme designed to develop both personal and professional growth. Through a combination of digital skills training, mental health and resilience workshops and hands-on beauty therapy courses, each woman is
guided to reach their full potential. Our aim is to equip them with the skills and experience they need to start afresh and begin a new, rewarding path. We provide wraparound support (emotional wellbeing, life admin, job searches, cv writing and interview preparation) throughout the programme and beyond.
Her Time to Shine is an empowering initiative
we launched in November 2024. It is a unique concept as it’s a chance for our graduates to gain valuable paid work experience, receiving Real Living Wage. Our graduates offer a range of beauty treatments to other vulnerable women in community hubs across the borough. This not only allows our graduates to build confidence and practical skills in a real-world setting but also helps them connect with their local communities, bringing
wellbeing and self-care opportunities to others.

Our referral partners are at the heart of our mission to end the NEET challenge for women across Greater Manchester. Through shared goals and trusted relationships, we are able to reach more women who are not in education, employment or training and connect them with life-changing opportunities at our Training Centre. Together, we help women lift themselves out of isolation, poverty and low self-esteem.
By working hand in hand with community organisations, support services and local networks, we create a pathway to progress, ensuring every woman referred to us has the support she needs to build a brighter, more independent future.
During our training programmes last year, we noticed that as Christmas approached, many of the women we support were feeling increased anxiety, financial pressure, and emotional strain. In response, we launched Operation Christmas, a community-driven initiative designed to bring hope and relief to those most in need during this period. We reached out to local businesses and community partners, inviting them to contribute through donations and volunteer hours. The response was truly inspiring. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we were able to make a real difference:
Operation Christmas allowed us to offer a vital layer of emotional and practical support at a critical time. On the day of the event, our team also made 5 crisis intervention referrals, including suicide prevention, two mental health crises and one housing referral, ensuring that immediate help was available where it was most needed.
